Went to Er for kidney stones. Staff all was very helpful and nice. CT scan was very comfortable 👌 watched a Celtics game all while sporting my sweet 1 size fits all hospital gown. …
For my MRI this morning, Dave was my Care Provider. Dave was great. He was very professional and put me at ease. Just a very smooth operation from beginning to end.
My Bone Density and Mammogram appointments today were not only on time, they were handled by a professional staff from beginning to end. Many thanks to Nicole, Mitzi, Jenny, Savannah and Jada! It was also nice to see April, Janelle and Kathy while in the Women’s Center.
Was in Emergency Room with head injury 11/19/23. Everyone, from check in, immediate care, CT Scan, Doctor Hoffman, RNS and LPNS , was awesome. I can only recall the name of one LPN, Olivia, and Dr. Hoffman. Olivia had someone working with her who was great, as well. I am so grateful they all were on this injury and got me cared for. They were awesome! I will highly recommend this ER. Thanks again, may God bless all of you.

They cut out my appendicitis! I stayed in the hospital for 2 days! To be honest, I didn't want to leave. The feeling that you get into a big loving family. Dr. Meads is a very attentive and kind doctor! After communicating with him, I realized that I was in safe hands! The whole team is very friendly and caring! It was especially cool with the nurse of the 3rd floor Nathan S 💪🤝 fed well too! There was a menu and you chose what to order yourself 😋of course there is one minus for which I would even take off one ball is waiting, I waited about 4.5 hours in the emergency room. Well, it doesn't matter 5 stars.
I would give 0 stars if it wasn't for the nurses. The nurses were super kind and attentive . Dr. McCain is the one who seen me. My visit would've been fine but I was doubled over in pain crying and she bluntly told me she's not giving me any pain meds. I never asked her for pain meds my whole visit. I'm also on Suboxone so I wouldn't of felt the effects of it anyway. But for her to assume I was there for pain meds was just unacceptable. I was there for for an ulcer that was acting up and it was like giving birth all over again. I went home around 1am and the pain lasted until 6am. Don't go here if you're in pain. They just assume your faking and there fore hit of pain meds . I'll be taking my business to community, where I know I'll be taken seriously
If I could give zero stars, I would. Medical negligence, failure to diagnose, and misdiagnosing, missing protocol deadlines, failure to treat, medication errors, they threatened my family for wanting a different hospital, and refused us to leave. Along with HIPPA violations from security guards, failure to monitor by the nurses, malpractice, EMTALA violation, and in my opinion false imprisonment. My family and I have never been treated with such disrespect. I have been to this hospital numerous times. I have trusted them with not only myself, but my daughter. They misdiagnosed a stroke, with no medical documentation to prove it. Which they refused to provide. And even if stroke was the correct diagnoses, they missed all the protocol deadlines for one. They held my elderly diabetic family member in a room with no water, no food, and no routine meds. In fact, after given a current medication list and verbally told what her routine meds are, the staff was still incompetent and refused to give meds because they “weren’t aware” of what meds she needed. Said patient was held there for about 16 hours with a nurse only checking on the patient about 3 times. They threatened insurance would not pay for her visit if they left, they personally told me she would die if she left. And they would not let her leave her room and forced her to sign an AMA form. Which is totally illegal. It is not the law to sign and AMA form. And totally against patients rights to threaten. When this patients daughter spoke of leaving AMA they removed and trespassed her from the hospital because she was “causing problems”. Her elderly mother cannot walk on her own, and elderly dad was left by himself to navigate the situation. This was almost, I believe in some kind of way elderly abuse. I the granddaughter had to go because while all of this was happening my father was admitted as well, which was the trespassed persons husband. There was complete lack of compassion, and humanity in those doors that night. They refused to transfer said patient even though her team of other doctors told them to. She required testing that Hancock was not equipped to do. Instead they held her there, I didn’t not see her given any meds, fluids, water, food. At this point she was there for over 12 hours. And they would not allow her the privacy to even shut her door. When I arrived, the security guards did not know who I was, how I was related, or even my name. And one in particular security guard breached all hippa violations in talking to me about her condition. And what took place prior too me arriving. And in his words, Hancock was holding her there because they were affiliated with the Mayo Clinic. That was his response. Even though the patient wanted to leave and/or transfer. They told her there was a 3-5 day waiting period and they would have to hold her in the ER for that long. They told us if she left insurance would not pay for her visit. They told me if she left (a nurse told me this) that she would die. They forced her to sign AMA papers before they would even let her out of her room. This hospital is not safe, this hospital is the worst healthcare experience we have ever had and had us scared for the endangerment of our loved ones life. Legal action will be taken. Our family is well known in Hancock county, and we have close relatives that are at the top of the board for this hospital. Please do not go here if you want your family members taken care of. It was an absolute nightmare. One that we do not want to relive.
Thank you to Ana, Becky, and Mitzi at the center for women's health. My experience was outstanding. The atmosphere was pleasant, and everyone was kind and compassionate. I appreciated the education aspects of my visit and the accommodations made so that I didn't have to make a return appointment.
